We believe in giving back to the society and serving everyone in need.
Here's how we have been trying our best to contribute.
Myroomie visited to an orphanage and here we are sharing our experiences
As we stepped into the living , we saw few people, sitting at a table. Their eyes looked tired and empty, void of all emotions. They greeted us with a faint smile. After the introduction, we started off with some fun activities.
Later, we presented the old ladies with waterbottles and snacks that we had brought for them.
We also handed the books and crayons we had taken for the children.
Next we started with a small entertainment programme that we had put up for them.
We also played a fun little musical chair activity with them.
The residents bubbled with energy, as they shook a leg with us and hummed to the tune of songs rhymes and more! It was a different kind of satisfaction altogether, to hear their joyous laughs, their smiles and hushed giggles. So contrary to when we first saw them. The very purpose of the visit had been achieved.
We bid farewell. The visit left a deep impact. A deep impact on our conscious, and on us. We were more sensitive than what we were when we arrived; sensitive towards the elderly. And an undying love for children The visit was an epiphany. Each one of us was determined to obdurately stand by our parents children and elders, through thick and thin. The residents had motivated us all with their hankering hearts and unwavering hopes.
Apart from this; whenever there is any excess food in any of our hostels the first thing we do is to call up organizations or people who can help us in sending these food to the poor.
What we at myroomie believe in is giving back to the world and we also stand strong by the fact that there is no greater happiness than when we learn to give!
