Benefits of Waking up Early

Benefits of Waking up Early

Waking up early can sound a hell of a task, I agree. The gravity our beds hold in the morning is undeniable, and more over our motivation to start our day isn’t enough as most of the time
we set our alarms according to either our college or work schedule. We might be looking forward to those things and the rest of the day, but let’s face it, nothing seems better than sleeping off into your dreams, isn’t it?

However, there are so many benefits of waking up early, whether it’s managing your diet or solely wanting time to yourself.

First, let’s start with food. When you get up early, you definitely won’t be missing breakfast. A late riser might grab an unhealthy snack on their way out, or might miss the meal altogether leaving the rest of the day unenergetic. If you’re hungry after you missed a meal, the doughnut during a break would be too tempting to resist.

Second, it gives you time for exercise. Most people spend a lot of time complaining about how they don’t have time to exercise or get on track for their health. Well, waking up early can create that time. Complaining can’t bring any results. Exercising in the morning can be one of the best way to kick start your day for an active one. Just imagine how productive your day already is before
even getting ready for where you have to be. And there is your third reason, being productive. Most successful people have reported about waking up early. It’s a great way to have important tasks done in the morning because your brain is more focused in the morning. It helps in have better concentration.

Last but not the least, having so much time to yourself in which you can do something like read that book you’ve been waiting to start but haven’t gotten the time, or write, anything that interests you.

Waking up can feel like a task, and if you think you can decide to wake up two hours earlier than you regular time tomorrow then you’re up for a failure. Rather start waking up 15 minutes earlier each day, you’d be waking up two hour early in a week! We’’, you know what they say, if you win the morning, you win the day.

Be Active, Be Healthy, Be Happy

Be Active, Be Healthy, Be Happy Health and Fitness have become key words in today’s stress filled life. But do we have the time to indulge in fitness activities when we are overloaded with college assignments, exams and activities ? A healthy body is a barometer of a person’s mental state. Honestly, I am not a person who would take the effort of exercising on a regular basis. But I do believe in the old adage,’if health is lost, wealth is lost’. I am aware that I have to stay fit, both in body and mind. Personal instances have proved that exercising creates a very positive energy around one; it increases the alertness of the mind. One suddenly feels recharged and filled with positive motivation to achieve the target plan of the day. Just last month a friend of mine in the hostel started exercising in the morning. The result has been encouraging as doesn’t feel fatigued and feels fresh in class too. She is no more haunted by sleep monsters during lectures. She choose to exercis...

Response of a student; Pleading for change

Response of a student; Pleading for change . What will your reaction be when your own daughter becomes the prey of molestation? How would you feel when one of your own family members becomes the object of sex trafficking? How aggressively would you stand to fight when you hear from someone that your daughter was beaten, raped and murdered? Won’t your heart seize to beat? Won’t your brain just freeze? This was the same situation with me when I was going through news headlines recently – “ An eight year old girl, Asifa  had been gang raped, strangled with her own scarf and bashed in the skull with a rock.” And not more than few days had passed to this incident , that another headline reported-“ Another 8-year old girl raped and killed”. My follicles stood tall , there ran deep terror inside and the tears dropped without even a pause. Are we progressing toward a period where humanity will seize to exist and a new world of crime and punishment be the foundation of constitution? ...
